Gönen Power Plant
The use of renewable energy sources, especially the installation of solar power plants, is of increasing importance worldwide in increasing environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. In this respect, our company is taking its commitment to renewable energy one step further and is rapidly proceeding with the installation of our solar power plant, built on 110 acres of land, which started in August 2023 and is scheduled to be completed in March 2024. This strategic initiative aims to meet the electricity needs of our hotels and all other buildings and facilities with the 7 megawatt peak (MWp) capacity of our power plant and the 25MWp capacity of Sevinçbey.
The realization of this project is an important step towards meeting our energy needs from renewable sources and reflects our company's mission of environmental awareness. The commissioning of our solar power plant will reduce our dependence on fossil fuels for our energy consumption and significantly reduce our carbon footprint. This is a strategic investment to fulfill our environmental responsibility and reduce our energy costs in the long term.
During the installation phase of our project, we are using new technologies and best practices such as domestically produced bi-facial high efficiency panels and inverters. The efficiency and durability of our solar panels are of the highest standards and will make us self-sufficient in energy for 4 seasons. This power plant also aims to contribute to the sustainable development efforts in the industry by promoting the use of renewable energy and setting an example for other businesses.
